Round Five Results

Hmm, the puzzler’s brow is a little furrowed this week. Firstly the number of entries was down somewhat, maybe it is just the first week back blues. Also the Riddle Me was too well known and the winning entry was in almost as soon as I hit Publish on the blog post. Ah well at least it was interesting to see that some of you are getting your parents in on the act, that’s neat. Now for the results;

First out of the blocks with the Riddle Me answer was
Doug
who was the first to tell us that Edam is the word ‘made’ written backwards
Well done Doug, (and also the five entrants who got it right too)

Now for the What’s-the-pic?
Once again there were some really interesting ideas advanced but this week’s winner is
Beth
Who suggested this pic was

“Someone peering over their moustache whilst eating spaghetti.”
What do you think, why not leave us a comment below.

Riddle Me 5

Okay given that the last few riddles have been real challenges for most of you here is an easier one, (well I think it is 🙂 ). See how you go with working out …….

What type of food is made backwards?

Round Four Results

Well once again it seems the Riddle Me is trickier than anticipated however Aaron did indeed get the answer correct. The thing that

“…. makes a bucket of water lighter but weighs nothing …. “
is a hole in the bucket.

Once again there were some excellent suggestions as to what the pic might be, (including an entry from Miss Howard), but the one that tickled our fancy was the suggestion that it was a

” …. a set of tongs with sausages in between them …. “
from Mia

Well done everyone, though lots of you need to please check on your spelling before you submit your suggestions for next week’s puzzles.

Riddle Me 4

Okay let’s see if this one is a bit easier to make suggestions about?

Though I weigh nothing at all if you look closely you can see me. If you put me in a bucket of water though I will definitely make it lighter.

Round Three Results

Wow, a record number of entries for the What’s the Pic, The Puzzler is most impressed. There weren’t so many for the Riddle Me though so next week is an easier one.
Okay, now for the results for this round.
The winners for this pic
eball1.jpg
are, (yep we couldn’t decide),
Jess who suggested it was a
Piece of paper’s view of a pencil and
Tom who suggested it was a
Megaphone pointing directly at you with no-one behind it
The Riddle Me looks a though it was much harder than we thought though one person did get it just right. Leo told us that the pattern was

The next row is 1113213211
Starting with the second line, every line describes the line before it, so it reads;
1
One 1
Two 1’s
One 2 One 1
One 1 One 2 Two 1’s
etc.etc.

Well done to all participants, don’t forget that you can add your comments to the answers or tell us what you thought about our decision by commenting on this post. Let’s hear from you.

Riddle Me 3

Okay now here’s another logic puzzle but this time with numbers, (we might also have to give the winner’s accolade to the first correct entry). Have a look at the following number sequence and suggest the next  line, (oh and don’t forget to give us a reason for your answer).
